Bruce was born and raised in East Texas. His father, a second-generation mechanic, instilled in him a solid work ethic and a love of machinery at a very young age. This formed his character and interests throughout his teens and into adulthood when, in 1995, he entered Tyler Junior College for HVAC. Bruce worked nights and attended school during the day.
